The number of frogs hired started with 0 at midnight on 11 May 2015. They hire one frog every 5 seconds, so the number should be larger every time you view this comic and increases while you watch it. This hiring rate won't get them to infinite frogs, but it will cause a number overflow in about 1.4 billion years. If this comic is still here, that will be great.
