I sent the maintenance guy over to descale the coffee maker.

It's important to descale your coffee maker regularly, or you might find yourself unexpectedly decaffeinated. If you use a machine to make your coffee instead of a snake, descaling probably means using a chemical agent to remove mineral buildup. I usually use vinegar.
