We need to shorten our development cycles. Our apps must get to market sooner.
Try using more COTS.

I'm almost positive that the use of cots is slowing us down.
COTS stands for Commercial Off The Shelf, which refers to software packages that are commercially available. In theory, using COTS components in your application saves time by allowing your software developers to focus on what makes your product unique instead of building some standard stuff that's been done before. But often, just like what happened to these frogs, using COTS slows you down as you wrestle with how to integrate it with your custom software. Actually, that's not at all what happened to these frogs. They just fell asleep on cots. Never mind.
