The lesson here is to be careful where you get your information from in times of crisis.

For example, I'm an ok source for information about web services: SOAP and REST refer to different types of interfaces. SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) is an older type using XML which has fallen out of favor in recent years. REST (REpresentational State Transfer) is more common today.

I'm not a good source of information about infectious disease, but I know that soap and rest mean very different things when you're trying to avoid or recover from an illness. Like many of you, I'm working from home trying to prevent the spread of the COVID-19. The kids are off school, all the restaurants are closed, and the stock market is trying to go lower than the interest rates.

Wash your hands. With soap.
