Backlog

We've put it off for long enough, but it's time to get serious.

You've got to start working off the back-log.

I don't like this.

The front log was closer to the coffee maker, and the WiFi back here is awful.

While today's software developers know the backlog to be the accumulation of unworked tasks, the word originally meant literally the log at the back of the fireplace.

It looks like the front log is the better office location at Amphibian.com.
